LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette Police have released security camera photos of the man they believe robbed Regions Bank on Union Street on Monday.
LPD describes the suspect as a white male approximately 6 feet tall, in his 30’s, wearing a gray, blue, and white windbreaker and a white baseball cap. They said he displayed a note demanding money from the teller. The male left the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries and no weapon was displayed.
As News 18 previously reported, investigators are looking into the possibility that this robbery is tied to the Centier Bank robbery from Aug 5. The two banks are in close proximity to each other. Police said they have received many tips from the Centier robbery.
Anyone with any information about the robbery is asked to contact the Lafayette Police Department at 765-807-1200 or through the anonymous WeTip Hotline at 800-78-CRIME.
