LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) -- The Greater Lafayette Honor Flight Organization gave back to its donors Saturday evening. The organization raises money to fly local veterans to Washington D.C.
They make three trips to the nation's capital each year. Saturday, it treated donors to a special dinner in their honor. The event was at the Historical Fowler House in Lafayette. Co-President Pam Mow said events like these are important for the people who make these trips possible.
"Saying thank you sometimes doesn't seem adequate," said Mow. "So to be able to invite them to come in and to offer them some food and drink and just to actually walk around and say thank you."
The organization will make its next trip in the Spring.
