LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette Christian School's apple pie fundraising event that's become popular throughout the community won't happen as normal this year.
In lieu of selling pies, LCS will instead ask the community to raise funds virtually this year. You can donate over the phone, online or through a drive through lane available at the school on October 17. School employees will be there to take your donations from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Bridget Winger is a teacher at the school, she says despite this year's differences, LCS appreciates Greater Lafayette's support.
"We love the fact that the community, celebrates our school, like so many of the other schools around here that are great in their academics," said Winger.
Money raised will go toward the school's general fund, and it'll help lower tuition costs for students. LCS's goal is to raise $60,000 this year.
