LAFYAETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette Urban Ministry is shutting down its warming stations starting Tuesday.
The organization said this decision is because of the coronavirus pandemic, staff shortages and low census numbers.
David Heckert from LUM said this will help them to move vital employees to the Emergency Homeless Shelter, which will help keep that program open during this crisis in Indiana.
He said LUM is committed to continue to serve the community and the homeless population during these trying times.
