LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The Lafayette Police Department has added to its fleet of vehicles.

Several new Police Interceptor Explorer SUVs will be a part of LPD's squad cars

The new additions arrived today and they look sleek.

As of now, the vehicles are unmarked and without emergency equipment and lights.

Sgt. Gard says at the beginning of next week the vehicles will be prepped and polished with decals, sirens and all the necessary equipment.

In the upcoming weeks expect to see these utility SUVs around town.
