LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette police are looking for a man who allegedly shot another Monday night near the Tippecanoe County Public Library.
Officers said around 11:30 p.m., police were called to the 100 block of South 7th Street. An 18-year-old man told police he was walking on the sidewalk behind the library when he was approached by another an wearing all black clothing. Police said the victim then told police he was shot in the right shoulder.
Officers said victim then ran to a friends house, where police responded. The man was taken to the hospital and treated for his injury. Police said it was not life threatening.
The suspect was described as slender and about six feet tall.
