LPD investigating Black Friday alleged armed robbery

Lafayette police are investigating an alleged armed robbery report called in on Black Friday. It happened near the intersection of South 16th and Perdue streets in Lafayette.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette police are investigating an alleged armed robbery report called in on Black Friday. Police said it happened near the intersection of South 16th and Perdue streets in Lafayette.

Police said two men returned home from a shopping trip when they were robbed at gunpoint by a man with a t shirt over his face. The victims said the man got away with at least $100 worth of clothing as well as a personal backpack.

Police are asking anyone with information to call LPD or the anonymous We-Tip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME.
