LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) —The trial for a woman accused in a deadly Tippecanoe County hit-and-run begins with Jury selection. Yariel Butler is charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
As WLFI previously reported in August of 2018, police said Butler hit and killed two people on the side of US 52. The crash killed William "Eric" Peacock, and Kimberly McDole. A tow truck driver was also injured.
A days-long search began for Butler after police said she drove off. Butler's trial is set to last today through Thursday.
WLFI will have updates as they become available.
