Lows Tuesday morning were a chilly 44-53.
Highs reached 72-80 with unusually low dew points for June in the upper 30s to mid 40s.
A few spotty showers/isolated storms are possible Wednesday 5 a.m.-11 a.m. Anything after that for the rest of the day looks extremely isolated.
With sun/clouds & strengthing south-southwest winds to 20-33 mph, highs of 79-88 are likely northeast & east to southwest.
Humidity will be held in check with dew points in the 50s.
As for Thursday, after 60s to 70 AM, humidity will be increasing with strong south-southwest winds developing 20-33 mph.
A well-pronounced MCV will be pivoting into northwestern Illinois (you can see it curling up in the image) by Thursday morning from complex of severe storms from Iowa & Nebraska.
However, as MCV approaches, look how capped we are in the 4,000-17,000' layer. Note how the red & green lines split just below 5,000' & stay that way to just above 15,000'.
Combine that with a lot of high & mid cloudiness surging out ahead of the dying complex of storms & its accompanying MCV & it all means (& clouds cutting well-mixed CAPE), that any storms would struggle or collapse as they approach our area. However, a few weakening showers are possible by Thursday PM. Sun will fade behind the mid clouds with the strong south-southwest winds.
This cloudiness will cause high temperatures to tend to plateau & even fall back some in the afternoon.
Highs of 85-93 are expected. Dew points will run in the 60s with heat indices 88-99.
We will monitor for changes to this forecast, however.
Multiple rounds of showers & storms are possible Friday through Wednesday off & on.
Highs should run in the 80s to around 90 with lows near 70 with muggy weather.
The best potential of seeing parameters reach SLIGHT RISK is Friday afternoon-evening.
During that time, a line of storms to our northwest may organized & surge east & southeastward to the area.
Saturday MARGINAL RISK parameters are here with showers/storms with highs in the 80s & lows around 70.
Locally-heavy rainfall is possible.
Additional showers & storms off & on will continue Sunday-Wednesday. MARGINAL RISK will creep in at times with some locally-heavy rainfall, as well.
Highs will run in the 80s & lows near 70 with muggy conditions will be around.
We should dry out late next week to that next weekend & heat up. 90s to 100 are likely again by around July 7.
