Showers& storms increasing today with Marginal Risk of severe.

Flash Flood Watch is up for our southern tier (Fountain & Montgomery counties).

There is a MARGINAL RISK of severe weather along & south of US 24 today to this evening.

Scattered showers & storms will continue to develop & beome widespread late this afternoon to this evening.

A couple/few severe storms (wind, isolated brief, weak tornado) are possible along with the risk of locally-heavy, flash flood-producing rainfall. 

Highs today should reach the 80s with high humidity.

Periodic rain will follow overnight & into Thursday morning with brisk northwest winds.  Rainfall should depart the area around midday.

A total of 0.60-1.50" of rainfall is likely area-wide with a few localized +2" amounts.

Lots of low clouds will follow, followed by some late-day clearing.

Highs will only run 67-74 with breezy to windy conditions after 61-64 overnight.

After 55-62 Thursday night, Friday will turn back to 81-86 with strong southwest winds & high humidity as front quickly races back north as a warm front.

Storms are possible late Friday night to early Saturday morning as a complex of storms may work along the warm frontal zone into our area.
