Scattered rainfall will taper late tonight to Thursday morning with low, gray overcast with chilly northwest wind 15-30 mph.  Temperatures will run 50-55 with wind chills 42-48.

After breaks in the clouds for some sun, a few showers & t'showers may bubble up in the afternoon to evening period.  Freezing levels are low enough for the mention of isolated soft pea hail or graupal.

Winds will still be strong from the northwest, then north at 20-35 mph.

Highs will run 62-68.

Total rainfall tonight-Thursday should be pretty light, but variable at 0.10-1".  Much of the area will see 0.10-0.30".  A few totals of 0.50-1.10" may occur, however.

Skies will clear & wind go calm tomorrow night with 43-49.

Record low high for the date at West Lafayette (records back to 1879) is 55 set in 1955.

Record low for Friday morning is 40 set in 1959.

Friday will feature lots of sunshine, then increasing high & mid-level clouds with winds turning to the southwest & increasing to 15-30 mph.  Highs of 75-80 are likely, but the humidity will remain low with dew points around 50 to the 50s.

We should turn mostly cloudy to cloudy Friday night, followed by a wave of some showers & storms possible along the warm front with lows in the 60s.  Scattered rainfall may last to Saturday morning before ending.

A break with sunshine & temperatures warming 78-86 (northeast to southwest) over the area should ensue with dew points climbing to 66-72.

Round of storms is possible Saturday afternoon-evening.

Some severe risk cannot be ruled out late afternoon to evening.  We will monitor for any changes.

A wave of storms is possible Sunday.

There is also the risk of some severe.

The best severe potential, however, is shaping up for areas south of 28.

Highs will run 79-86 north to south.

Monday & Tuesday look dry with front south of our area.  It looks a bit cooler & less humid with highs 77-82 & lows 58-65.

Storms return later Wednesday.

Late June to July 1 still looks pretty active with muggy weather & severe risk off & on.
