LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI)—The Lafayette theatre was full of bubbles this afternoon for the Jeff Boyer's Big Bubble Bonanza. This is first event the Long Center has held at the theatre. Jeff Boyer is a performer. He entertains his audiences with bubbles.
Broyer is also in the Guinness Book of World Records. Nearly 400 families arrived to take part in this bubbly event.
This event is a part of The Long Center and Lafayette Theatre's partnership to create a downtown performing arts campus.
Executive Director for The Long Center, John Hughey, said this is a great start for what's to come next.
"Here we are a week before Super Bowl and people are hanging out at home, cabin fever," said Hughey. "Lets get them out into the theatre and that's exactly what we did. So 3:00pm is perfect. You have time for lunch, time for dinner and time to shop downtown."
After this performance the Lafayette Theatre will undergo renovations. The Long Center will host its next event at the theatre in April.
