It is sharply colder today with gusty winds & some flurries & snow showers, mainly in our eastern & northeastern counties. A localized light dusting is possible there.
Tomorrow will be brighter than today, but still cold with 20s for highs after lows tonight 9-20 (warmest northeast where some cloudiness will hang on). Much of the area will run 10-15. With a continued breeze at 10-15 mph, wind chills will drop below zero in some areas later tonight-tomorrow morning.
Clouds will increase Friday, followed by snow late Friday night-Saturday.
1-4" north to south is possible right now. At this point, it looks as if the 4-8" amounts should occur southwest of our area in central Illinois & eastern Missouri, but we will monitor.
Temperatures should moderate to the 30s & stay there through next week, followed by more snow possible late next week & next weekend.
