Highs Friday ran 34-40.

Snow showers & squalls occurred over the area, mixed with snow pellets & even some graupal.

Totals varied from trace to 1.5".  Some areas saw multiple dustings & coatings before melting.

Local heavier amounts occurred like here at Idaville (below).  Thanks to Rhonda Pearson Cabrera for this pic!

This particular squall produced thunder in Warren County with heavy snow.  Image taken by Tim Holley from Hedrick.

Watch for icy spots on roads tonight from moisture re-freezing & for moisture from the patchy freezing fog that is possible.  Lows will run in the 20s.

Snow showers are likely Saturday with highs 34-37.  Snow showers may even mix with some rain drops or change briefly to a few rain showers late in the day as temperatures warm.

Watch for a few slick spots Saturday evening-night to Sunday AM as temperatures drop back below freezing.

1" or less of accumulation is expected by Saturday evening-night.  Isolated +1" amounts are possible.

A few snow showers Saturday night will give way to snow showers & squalls Sunday.  After morning lows in the 20s to near 30, highs will run near 30 to 33 & may even drop back some to around 28-30 by later afternoon.

Watch for slick areas on roads later Sunday to Sunday night & Monday AM.

1" or less will occur at least.

There will be some areas of 1-2" & even a couple isolated +2" amounts are possible.

Snow showers taper Sunday night to just a few flurries with lows near 20 to the mid 20s.

Sunday will feature more in the way of +1" accumulations compared to Saturday, it appears.

Brief clipper system may bring some rain showers changing to snow showers Tuesday.

Some showers are possible Thursday, ending as snow showers Thursday night, followed by some snow showers Friday.

Bout of snow is possible late next weekend & again Monday-Tuesday January 25-26.  Colder weather will follow with a couple mornings of -3 to 3.

Big warm-up still looks ahead in early February with much more in the way of rainfall with even some t'storms.  Near/record warmth is possible before we turn cold & turn potentially icy in mid-February.

After that, signs of a couple brief snows, then big, big warm-up in late February with much more rainfall & even some more t'storms.
