LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) -- Those searching for a career or have a general interest in the criminal justice system are invited to Ivy Tech's 2019 Criminal Justice Day.
Several local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies will be at the event, providing an exciting learning experience with several hands-on demonstrations and activities.
Some of the activities will include a bomb squad robot demonstration and a drone demonstration.
Mick Gillen, faculty member with Ivy Tech Lafayette’s Criminal Justice Program, said the event will give Criminal Justice students a chance to make vital contacts for a future career in their desired field.
“There's going to be every kind of branch of law enforcement you can imagine here on that day,” said Gillen. “Our students will get to introduce themselves and ask a lot of questions, and really narrow in on where they want their career to begin.”
The event will happen in Ivy Hall on Ivy Tech's Lafayette campus on April 2nd, from 11 AM to 4 PM. A schedule of the activities and demonstrations for the day can be found below.
