Instant Classic: CC baseball wins Hoosier Conference title in 11-inning thriller

It took 11 innings to decide it, but Central Catholic took home the championship Friday night.

RUSSIAVILLE, Ind. (WLFI) — It took 11 innings to decide it between Central Catholic (No. 2 in Class 2A) and Western (No. 1 in Class 3A).

It was scoreless to start the eleventh inning, before a balk sent Carson Barrett home to break the tie.

Shortly after, Reece Buche hit Adam Dienhart home.

Central Catholic won the game 2-0, taking back the Hoosier Conference championship trophy.

CC's Jake Marin tossed 9.2 scoreless innings with 11 strikeouts, before Dienhart closed the door.
