INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Thursday, January 21 that 3,733 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to ISDH,601,937 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 9,218 people have died from the virus, an increase of 64. New deaths were reported in the following local counties:
- Cass - 1 (total 63)
- Clinton - 2 (total 42)
- Howard - 1 (total 142)
- Montgomery - 1 (total 54)
- Tippecanoe - 2 (total 130)
- White - 1 (total 40)
In the WLFI viewing area, new cases were reported in Benton (5), Carroll (10), Cass (16), Clinton (24), Fountain (14), Fulton (9), Howard (74), Jasper (17), Miami (17), Montgomery (19), Newton (6), Pulaski (5), Tippecanoe (108), Warren (12), and White (8).

Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports 159 active cases with 135 being students and 24 being employees. It has reported 4,219 total cases since it started reporting on August 1. 112,053 total tests have been given on campus.
According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 362,452 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. 87,506 have received the second dose and are fully vaccinated.
