House Bill 1230 passed unanimously Thursday.
As we reported, the new law will allow baby boxes to be placed at any EMS station that has 24-7 staffing.
Parents can also legally give up custody of their newborn to medical staff after delivery.
In addition, a parent can call 911 and have EMS staff come to take the newborn.
This law was expanded in 2017 to apply to baby boxes, and again in 2018 to include baby boxes at fire stations.
