MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) — The owner of Indiana Beach has filed bankruptcy.
Apex Parks Group is trying to sell "substantially all" of its assets under Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. In a news release, Apex said its operations in California, Florida, and New Jersey will not be affected.
The company said it plans to honor customer programs including season passes and gift cards at its operating parks, and pay employee wages and benefits. That is not the case at Indiana Beach, which announced its closure in February.
Apex's CEO said the company has determined that selling is the best path forward to enable Apex to focus on future operations and growth.
White County will offer $3 million in incentives to a potential buyer.
