WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI)—Impact Zone hosted an open to the public tribute workout called Murph to honor the men and women who have died while serving for Memorial Day. Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy (Murph) was killed on June 28th, 2005 while serving.
The Murph workout consists of a 1 mile Run, 100 Pull-ups, 200 Push-ups and 300 Squats. Personal Trainer Marc Dobbels said the theme was "uncomfortable." to remind people of the uncomfortable situations those who have and do serve go through.
"Veterans and people that serve come in and train with us," said Dobbels. "Just to have a moment to be grateful for those who have sacrificed their lives and to commemorate those who have served and serve."
Impact Zone Training Center also collected $10 donations for the Navy SEAL Foundation which Lieutenant Murphy was a part of.
