INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Sunday, December 27, that 1,844 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19. That’s the lowest daily case increase since October 10th.
According to ISDH, 493,841 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 7,496 people have died from the virus, an increase of 35. New deaths were reported in the following local counties:
Benton – 1
Howard – 1
Miami – 1
Tippecanoe – 1
In the WLFI viewing area, new cases were reported in Benton (0), Carroll (8), Cass (15), Clinton (19), Fountain (11), Fulton (6), Howard (20), Jasper (8), Miami (8), Montgomery (8), Newton (0), Pulaski (2), Tippecanoe (87), Warren (7), and White (9).
Currently, Benton, Carroll, Fountain, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Pulaski, and Warren Counties are in the red. All other counties in the WLFI viewing area are orange. Click here to read more about what restrictions are in place based on their designated color zones.

Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard says the university will not update the dashboard when it is closed, specifically during the winter recess from December 21st through January 1st. It will also not be updated on weekends through January 3rd.
