INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Friday, March 5, 879 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 1,088,419 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. 657,741 have received the second dose and are fully vaccinated.
According to ISDH, 665,285 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 12,263 people have died from the virus, an increase of 32. New deaths have been reported in the following WLFI viewing area:
- Cass - 1 (total 100)
- Montgomery - 1 (total 84)
- Tippecanoe - 2 (total 205)
In the WLFI viewing area, additional cases were reported today in Benton (2), Carroll (3), Cass (6), Clinton (3), Fountain (4), Fulton (0), Howard (12), Jasper (3), Miami (0), Montgomery (9), Newton (1), Pulaski (2) Tippecanoe (42), Warren (0), and White (1). Further data can be found here.
Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports 252 active cases with 242 being students and 10 being employees. It has reported 5,312 total cases since it started reporting on August 1.
