INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Wednesday, January 13 that 3,686 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to ISDH, 574,119 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 8,790 people have died from the virus, an increase of 59. New deaths were reported in the following local counties
- Howard-1 (total 135)
- Miami-1 (total 43)
- Pulaski-1 (total 36)
- Tippecanoe-1 (total 113)
In the WLFI viewing area, new cases were reported in Benton (2), Carroll (9), Cass (30), Clinton (16), Fountain (21), Fulton (11), Howard (73), Jasper (13), Miami (1), Montgomery (48), Newton (5), Pulaski (6), Tippecanoe (83), Warren (7), and White (11).

Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports 134 active cases with 77 being students and 57 being employees. It has reported 4,075 total cases since it started reporting on August 1. 97,876 total tests have been given on campus.
According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 219,885 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. 40,281 have received the second dose and are fully vaccinated.
