INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Tuesday, March 9, 593 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 1,154,141 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. 724,587 have received the second dose and are fully vaccinated.
According to ISDH, 668,308 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 12,335 people have died from the virus, an increase of 22. New deaths were reported in the following WLFI viewing areas:
- Howard - 1 (total 204)
- Newton - 1 (total 33)
In the WLFI viewing area, additional cases were reported today in Benton (0), Carroll (1), Cass (5), Clinton (5), Fountain (2), Fulton (1), Howard (3), Jasper (6), Miami (4), Montgomery (7), Newton (0), Pulaski (0) Tippecanoe (43), Warren (0), and White (1). Further data can be found here.
Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports 211 active cases with 202 being students and 9 being employees. It has reported total of 5,368 cases since it started reporting on August 1.
