INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Friday, December 4, that 8,003 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
According to ISDH, 367,329 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 5,832 people have died from the virus, an increase of 84. New deaths were reported in the following counties:

- Newton - 2 (total 15)
- Pulaski - 1 (total 24)
- Tippecanoe- 1 (total 36)
In the WLFI viewing area, new cases were reported in Benton (17), Carroll (26), Cass (68), Clinton (87), Fountain (40), Fulton (28), Howard (133), Jasper (66), Miami (61), Montgomery (66), Newton (15), Pulaski (20), Tippecanoe (288), Warren (12), and White (50).
Currently, Warren and White County are in the red. All other counties in the WLFI viewing area are orange. Click here to read more about what restrictions are in place based on their designated color zones.

Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports that 84,138 total tests given since August 1. There have been 3,414 total diagnosed cases. 286 student cases and 82 employee cases are considered active.
A note on the Purdue page says the university will not update the dashboard when it is closed, specifically during the winter recess from December 21st through January 1st.
