INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Wednesday, January 20 that 2,942 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to ISDH, 598,313 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 9,154 people have died from the virus, an increase of 62. New deaths were reported in the following local counties:
- Howard - 2 (total 141)
- Miami - 1 (total 44)
- Montgomery - 1 (total 53)
- Tippecanoe - 3 (total 128)
- White - 1 (total 39)
In the WLFI viewing area, new cases were reported in Benton (1), Carroll (6), Cass (17), Clinton (4), Fountain (3), Fulton (3), Howard (83), Jasper (10), Miami (30), Montgomery (8), Newton (1), Pulaski (3), Tippecanoe (65), Warren (0), and White (7).

Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports 161 active cases with 129 being students and 43 being employees. It has reported 4,199 total cases since it started reporting on August 1. 112,053 total tests have been given on campus.
According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 338,594 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. 79,878 have received the second dose and are fully vaccinated.
