INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Friday, January 22 that 3,560 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to ISDH, 605,426 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 9,267 people have died from the virus, an increase of 49. New deaths were reported in the following local counties:
- Clinton - 1 (total 43)
- Howard - 1 (total 143)
- Tippecanoe - 3 (total 133)
- White - 2 (total 42)
In the WLFI viewing area, new cases were reported in Benton (6), Carroll (10), Cass (39), Clinton (14), Fountain (10), Fulton (8), Howard (43), Jasper (6), Miami (25), Montgomery (29), Newton (2), Pulaski (7), Tippecanoe (106), Warren (2), and White (19).

Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports 160 active cases with 136 being students and 24 being employees. It has reported 4,237 total cases since it started reporting on August 1. 116,578 total tests have been given on campus.
According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 362,452 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. 87,506 have received the second dose and are fully vaccinated.
