INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Friday, October 9, that 1,832 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
According to ISDH, 131,493 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 3,534 people have died from the virus, an increase of 19. One additional death was reported in Howard County, bringing its total to 65.

In the WLFI viewing area, new cases were reported in Benton (2), Carroll (2), Cass (21), Clinton (9), Fountain (7), Fulton (2), Howard (15), Jasper (3), Miami (11), Montgomery (4), Pulaski (2), Tippecanoe (70), Warren (2) and White (6).

Purdue University reports 37,696 total tests given since August 1. There have been 1,065 total diagnosed cases. 1,020 student cases and 45 employee cases are considered closed. 190 student cases and 8 employee cases are considered active.
