INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Wednesday, April 21, 1,166 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 2,212,174 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. 1,622,455, including the single-dose vaccine, are fully vaccinated. locally, Tippecanoe County reports 36,836 have been fully vaccinated.
According to ISDH, 710,607 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 12,840 people have died from the virus, an increase of 8. Three new deaths were reported in the viewing area:
- Tippecanoe - 1 (total 213)
- Cass - 2 (total 104)
In the WLFI viewing area, additional cases were reported today in Benton (3), Carroll (0), Cass (9), Clinton (7), Fountain (4), Fulton (0), Howard (18), Jasper (12), Miami (1), Montgomery (6), Newton (0), Pulaski (3), Tippecanoe (45), Warren (1), and White (3). Further data can be found here.
Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports 138 active cases with 133 being students and 5 being employees. It has reported a total of 6,083 cases since it started reporting on August 1.
