INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Saturday, December 12, that 7,542 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
According to ISDH, 419,536 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 6,458 people have died from the virus, an increase of 85. New deaths were reported in the following counties:
Clinton - 1 (28)
Fountian - 2 (15)
Jasper - 2 (24)
Tippecanoe - 3 (50)
In the WLFI viewing area, new cases were reported in Benton (26), Carroll (42), Cass (41), Clinton (70), Fountain (38), Fulton (16), Howard (136), Jasper (22), Miami (53), Montgomery (44), Newton (15), Pulaski (23), Tippecanoe (286), Warren (13), and White (30).
Currently, Benton, Carroll, Fountain, Jasper, Miami, Newton, Pulaski, Warren, and White County are in the red. All other counties in the WLFI viewing area are orange. Click here to read more about what restrictions are in place based on their designated color zones.

Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports that 87,304 total tests given since August 1. There have been 3,632 total diagnosed cases. 216 student cases and 88 employee cases are considered active.
A note on the Purdue page says the university will not update the dashboard when it is closed, specifically during the winter recess from December 21st through January 1st. It will also not be updated the dashboard on weekends through January 3rd.
