INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Sunday, January 24 that 2,565 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to ISDH, 611,039 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 9,340 people have died from the virus, an increase of 23. New deaths were reported in the following local counties:
- Cass - 1 (total 64)
- Tippecanoe - 2 (total 140)
In the WLFI viewing area, new cases were reported in Benton (3), Carroll (11), Cass (20), Clinton (12), Fountain (6), Fulton (2), Howard (31), Jasper (15), Miami (16), Montgomery (8), Newton (8), Pulaski (3), Tippecanoe (74), Warren (4), and White (9).

Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports 154 active cases with 138 being students and 16 being employees. It has reported 4,253 total cases since it started reporting on August 1. 116,578 total tests have been given on campus.
According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 418,892 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. 94,461 have received the second dose and are fully vaccinated.
