INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Tuesday, February 23, 716 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 893,246 people have received the first dose of the vaccine. 440,028 have received the second dose and are fully vaccinated.
According to ISDH, 657,037 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 12,025 people have died from the virus, an increase of 44. New deaths have been reported in the following counties:
- Fountain - 1 (total 41)
- Howard - 2 (total 194)
- Jasper - 1 (total 42)
- Miami - 2 (total 63)
- Pulaski - 1 (total 43)
- Tippecanoe - 1 (total 197)
In the WLFI viewing area, additional cases were reported today in Benton (0), Carroll (0), Cass (25), Clinton (3), Fountain (1), Fulton (1), Howard (4), Jasper (3), Miami (2), Montgomery (11), Newton (0), Pulaski (1) Tippecanoe (38), Warren (1), and White (8).

Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard reports 212 active cases with 196 being students and 16 being employees. It has reported 5,033 total cases since it started reporting on August 1. 148,036 total tests have been given on campus.
