INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Saturday, November 21, that 6,983 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
According to ISDH, 289,183 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. A total of 4,992 people have died from the virus, an increase of 40. New deaths were reported in:
• Jasper - 2 (11 total)
• Miami – 1 (14 total)
• Montgomery – 1 (26 total)
• Tippecanoe – 2 (27 total)
• White – 1 (21 total)
In the WLFI viewing area, new cases were reported in Benton (7), Carroll (11), Cass (29), Clinton (41), Fountain (24), Fulton (13), Howard (98), Jasper (75), Miami (68), Montgomery (31), Newton (15), Pulaski (8), Tippecanoe (251), Warren (7), and White (31).

Purdue University’s COVID Dashboard did not have any numbers available on Saturday. A note on the page says the university will not update the dashboard when it is closed, specifically during the Thanksgiving holiday November 25 through the 27th, and the winter recess from December 21st through January 1st.
On Friday, Purdue reported 74,695 total tests given since August 1. There have been 2,802 total diagnosed cases. 508 student cases and 76 employee cases are considered active.
