INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The IHSAA announced Wednesday the fall sports season will happen as planned.
The organization says girls’ golf practice will start on July 31 with other sports beginning on Aug. 3.

This announcement comes just hours after Illinois decided to cancel all fall sports and move them to spring. Ohio football scrimmages have also been moved in response to the pandemic.
The Marion County Health Department briefly announced that it would be canceling football, volleyball, and soccer, but then reversed its decision after facing backlash. The decision to cancel fall sports for the Indianapolis area or not will be in the hands of Marion county health department, who will take up to three weeks to evaluate it.
