WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) -- Tonight is one of the biggest nights at the White County Fair. The championship swine show takes place at 7 pm in the main arena.
One of Indiana's largest agricultural products, the hogs will receieve the spotlight tonight. 4-H'ers competed throughout the day competing in different classes. The winner of each group advanced to tonight's championship. The overall winner will be named grand champion.
Jack Christopher, a 10 year 4-H'er, explained the preparations needed to compete."First of all we get them ready by cleaning them in the morning. Then we start by getting them feed. Then you go by putting some oil or something on them to get them better looking, then you go from there to the show," said Christopher
Christopher is no stranger to the main event. He says the fair's turnout makes the competition that much more enjoyable. "It's great. White County is one of the best counties around. It just feels so great how many people are up in the stands. It's just a great feeling," said Christopher.
The fair concludes tomorrow evening after the ultimate showman competition.
