WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Harrison sophomore Lexi Knipp is one of the youngest pitchers in one of the area's better rotations.
She had never pitched a complete game at the varsity level, but got the start Monday night against West Lafayette.
Knipp took advantage of the opportunity, in the form of a no-hitter with nine strikeouts.
Knipp says her approach was simple – stick with the pitches she's comfortable throwing and get batters to swing at pitches high in the zone.
Harrison won the game 14-0, marking the Raiders' 10th consecutive victory.
