KOKOMO, Ind. (WLFI) — Harrison girls soccer cruised past Kokomo, 11-0, McCutcheon blanked Logansport, 3-0, to earn a bid to Saturday's class 3A sectional No. 5 final on Wednesday night.
Lexi Fraley and Abigail Titlow each added two goals in Harrison's dominant, 11 goal victory.
Fraley said the Raiders are grateful to be playing in the postseason amid the pandemic.
"We're really thankful for this opportunity," said Fraley after the game. "It could be any day that it's over with COVID [going on]. We're lucky to get this far."
The Raiders have outscored the Wildkats 71-0 in their last nine meetings.
McCutcheon was held to a single goal at halftime, but scored twice in the second half to post a three goal victory. The Mavericks played only ten games up to this point, due to two COVID-19 quarantines.
Senior Katie Buckles said the Mavs are just living in the moment.
"The whole team is just really happy that we're able to get back out on the field again," said Buckles. "If you get set back by this pandemic, use it to let you push yourself even further."
Harrison and McCutcheon will meet on Saturday at 2pm in Kokomo for the class 3A sectional No. 5 championship.
