LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The President and CEO of the Greater Lafayette YWCA is retiring.
Allison Beggs has served in the position for about three-and-a-half years and has been volunteering for the organization since 2003.
During her time in the position, Beggs has helped create a workforce development program and the Dress for Success Boutique.
Beggs is returning to her hometown in Mississippi.
She said while sometimes it takes a village to accomplish a goal, it takes an army for non-profits.
"I'm so proud to have been a part of an army of leaders, community stakeholders and supporters who truly held up YWCA's mission," Beggs said.
Beggs last day is June 30.
Lindsey Meckler will take over as President and CEO on August 1.
