WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Purdue landed its first pledge for the 2022 class and its second quarterback in the last two months on Wednesday.
Gibson Southern QB Brady Allen committed to the Jeff Brohm and the Boilermakers.
Allen announced his decision on Twitter. Purdue added 2021 Naperville, lllinois quarterback Sam Jackson on June 10.
The 6-foot-5, 196-pound Allen held scholarship offers from Indiana, Wisconsin, Rutgers, Kansas, Virginia Tech and West Virginia among others.
As a sophomore, Allen threw for 2,671 yards and 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He finished with 2,434 yards passing, 29 scores and four interceptions his freshman year.
Allen is the No. 4 prospect in the state according to 247sports. He is a four-star recruit by Rivals.
