LAFAYETTE, Ind (WLFI)—The Garden Expo took place at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds on Saturday.

The Master Gardner Association of Tippecanoe County planned the event.

Vendors from all over the county were in attendance selling plants, desserts, and ironwork.

People could also enter a raffle for the chance to win a free Master Gardner Course or a door prize.

Agriculture and Natural Resource Educator Karen Mitchell says the Garden Expo is always great for the community.

"All of the funds raised here will go directly back into our community projects," said Mitchell. "So we have over thirty different community projects throughout Tippecanoe County. All of this money supports those."

There were also lectures such as the upcycling teacup planters, this lecture taught people how to make teacup and coffee mug planters for succulents, herbs, and seasonal flowers.
