FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI)—There's now 12,000 more square feet of room for the Frankfort Municipal Airport.
Frankfort/Clinton County Airport Authority and First Wing Jet Center held its grand opening today.
This was the debut of a new aircraft terminal and hanger.
As many as 25 aircraft can now be stored in the hanger.
The new building also offers event space for members of the public, office facilities, and conference rooms.
President for Frankfort/Clinton County Airport Authority said this facility will increase business opportunities for the airport and serve as a gathering place for the people.
"We could have large wedding receptions, we could have proms, we could have community events here and that was very important to us as a board that this supported the entire community, not just the aviation community," said Dun.
The hanger is also adjacent to a brand new forty-thousand square foot aircraft ramp and de-icing pad.
