Four face burglary and drug charges after traffic stop near Attica

A traffic stop just north of Attica on U.S. 41 leads to multiple people arrested on multiple charges.

WARREN COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — A traffic stop just north of Attica on U.S. 41 leads to multiple people arrested on multiple charges.

According to Indiana State Police, on Wednesday around 4 p.m. an Indiana trooper who was monitoring traffic, stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation when he suspected criminal activity going on in the car. The trooper then requested back up from the Attica Police Department. 

The Attica Police Department's K-9 arrived and was able to detect the presence of drugs after which the car was searched. During the search, drugs were found inside the vehicle along with items inside the vehicle that appeared to possibly have been taken from a residence. A Warren County Sheriff’s deputy went to an address in Warren County after a local address was located in the vehicle. The deputy found signs that the property had been burglarized. All four were taken into custody and lodged into the Warren County jail on the following charges:

  • Theft, A Misdemeanor

  • Possession of Paraphernalia, C Misdemeanor.
