LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Food Finders Food Bank is partnering with Purdue's College of Agriculture for its seventh annual Blue Jean Ball.
The ball helps raise funds for Food Finders operations. It also raises awareness of the needs of those with food insecurity across North Central Indiana.
The ball is scheduled for Saturday, May 4th at the Beck Agricultural Center. The ball will include dinner, a live comedy show and various auction items.
Last year’s event raised more than $79,000. Food Finders CEO Katy Bunder hopes to raise even more this year.
"Each year it has raised more funds for us than it did the previous year. So we've really grown to depend on it and we need everyone to come out and support the ball,” said Bunder.
Bunder added that the funds raised have several uses.
"We are always in need of funds for operating. Funds that we can use to buy food, pay drivers and things like that. So that's what the Blue Jean Ball does,” said Bunder.
The event will begin at 5:30 pm.
Tickets to the ball can be purchased here.
