LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A funeral procession will carry the body of a Lafayette Firefighter to his station house following funeral services on Saturday. The public is being asked to pay respects to Troy Trent, who was killed in a head-on crash after leaving work on New Year's Eve.

The procession will begin around 4 p.m. at River City Church on Beck Lane in Lafayette. Trent's body will be carried on an antique fire truck outfitted to carry a casket. The department will hang a huge American Flag over South Street at 27th.
Duke Energy will display a similar flag on Union Street west of Creasy Lane. The procession will end at Station Three, at Five Points in Lafayette, where Trent served.
