Fifth person in custody related to death of West Lafayette woman

The search for Talitha Beckley, a woman wanted for questioning in the death of a West Lafayette woman, is over.

NEWTON COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — The search for Talitha Beckley, a woman wanted for questioning in the death of a West Lafayette woman, is over. Beckley is now in custody in the Newton County Jail and is facing a preliminary charge of assisting a criminal, according to Capt. Shannon Cothran.

Beckley, 36 of Monticello, has been wanted since Wednesday in connection to the death of Nicole Bowen.

Four other people have been arrested in the initial investigation. Garrett K. Kirts of Lebanon was arrested for the alleged murder of Bowen with Jasmine Parker, Christopher Channing Mathis, and Ashley Garth arrested for assisting a criminal.

Bowen's body was found just north of Kentland on Saturday, March 30th.
