LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A Lafayette man faces at least 15 years in prison after being convicted of producing, possessing and distributing child pornography.

A federal jury found 34-year-old Shawn Dewitt guilty following a three day trial.

According to court documents, Dewitt responded to an online ad posted by undercover FBI agents. He expressed a sexual interest in children. Prosecutors said Dewitt sent explicit videos and images of child pornography to the agent. He also asked the officer to send him videos.

Dewitt's sentencing is in February.
