Highs today ran 41-47 over the area with periods of rain & southeast to east to east-northeast wind.

Heavier snowfall continues to shift south & eastward.  Thinking that Chicago & northern Illinois will be dropped from Winter Storm Watch with time tonight or tomorrow with near 1" to 3" there & the heaviest snowfall from Rochester, Indiana to Flint & Detroit, Michigan.  There will likely be some 12" totals in Michigan, but not in Fulton County.

5-8" is possible Fowler to Monticello to Delphi & Logansport to Winamac & Peru.

3-6" is likely in the northwest & in the southern half.

Our last snow was 2-6" for the entire viewing area.  Data continues to suggest that this one will exceed that in making it the heaviest snowfall of the Fall-Winter so far.

PLEASE CHECK IN FREQUENTLY, AS THIS COULD CHANGE.  THIS HEAVIER SNOWFALL COULD EVEN SHIFT FARTHER SOUTH OR EAST OR JUST FARTHER EAST.

EITHER WAY, THESE TOTALS COULD BE DECREASED OR THE HIGHER TOTALS EXPANDED MORE.

Rain should change to snow from northwest to southeast very late Tuesday afternoon-evening-early overnight from northwest to southeast.

The ENTIRE viewing area should be ALL snow by 10 p.m. Tuesday evening (based on the latest data I have available).

Heaviest snowfall is shaping up for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday with 0.5-1" per hour snowfall rates possible.

It should taper to snow showers & flurries for the ENTIRE viewing area by 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Winds will be strong with gusts to 30 mph Tuesday night & 40 mph Wednesday, leading to much blowing & drifting snow.

Clouds & some flurries/few snow showers are possible Wednesday night to early Thursday morning.  Lows of 15-20 are likely with wind chills as low as -7 in the viewing area.

Tuesday should feature sunshine with highs in the 20s & winds diminishing.
