WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — West Lafayette is welcoming Erin Easter as its newest Director of Development.
She has served as the deputy director for more than a year. Easter has been at the forefront of many major city projects over the years. The Margerum city hall building and the Wellness and Aquatics Center are the two she's looking forward to this year.
Easter has been a part of building the quality of life in Greater Lafayette for more than a decade. Now she'll be leading the city's decisions for development and redevelopment.
"I'm excited to continue to serve in that capacity and continue to make this the place that my family and I and other residents of West Lafayette love to call home," said Easter.
Being able to continue serving citizens in her new role is something she finds rewarding.
"The opportunity for impact right, nobody needs all the glory but the ability to see your work come to fruition and impact a community for years to come is really meaningful," said Easter.
Easter has a long history serving in a city government role. Before moving to West Lafayette, she served on President Barack Obama's campaign trail in 2008.
