TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI)—Duke Energy is implementing steps to protect its customers during the Coronavirus pandemic. The company said it will not disconnect any customer's service for non-payment. This is to help customers experiencing financial hardship during this time.
The company will continue reading meters and sending bills. Customers are encouraged to pay what they can to avoid building a large balance.
Duke Energy also said technicians will continue responding to power outages and service orders.
"We know that electric services are critical to so many people and its a stressful situation out there right now," said Dan Rhodes.
