Dollar General on Main Street robbed

Lafayette police are investigating an alleged robbery of the Dollar General store by Columbian Park.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette police are investigating an alleged robbery of the Dollar General store by Columbian Park. According to police, two employees shortly before the store closed at 9 p.m., a male wearing all black and a pink scarf over his face came in and demanded the money from the register.

Police also said he held a kitchen style knife to the neck of the employees during the robbery.

The suspect then left on foot heading westbound on Shortridge. A perimeter and k9 track were set up but the suspect was not located.

No injuries were reported.
